Ozark Opener Recap

Over the past weekend, two Zontal teams made the trip down to Fayetteville, Arkansas for the Ozark Opener, our first tournament of the year. Starting with about 14 players per team, numbers remained small throughout the weekend as injuries piled up. This gave rookies plenty of playing time to showcase their talents. The two teams went a combined 12-0 on the weekend finishing the tournament by closing out hard fought semi final games against Kansas State and Missouri. Zontal X was a dominant offensive team, with core of huckers bombing it  to an athletic and fast cutting line lead by Caleb Robinson. While Zontal Y was the defensive powerhouse of the tournament tallying up countless layout Ds and implementing suffocating handler marks. Defense on both teams was highlighted by the rookies continually generating Ds.

Personal Highlight of the Weekend: Nate Daugg taking an out of bounds pull to the chest to get                                                                     Zontal X fired up

We have one full week of practice and training, then next tournament up is Manhattan Project. Zontal teams will remain X and Y for this tournament so that we can continue kick the most ass possible.

MLC is in one month.
